It is a vast mixture. Mosty Swing, Hustle, Cha Cha, West Coast Swing and usually a few Foxtrots are mixed in. Maybe a rhuma here and there. Some line dances like Shivers and Night Fever. Some country two-step is in there, too. Additionally there is usually some contemporary / pop because the two DJs have different feels and alternate sets. Even though some are certain dancing genres, there are always people who are not dancing official dances but enjoying free style dancing whether partner or singles. It has been a fun time these past two years they have put it on. I hope this helps, Robin
Thank you for the detailed info. My husband and I attended last year but found the music more suited to ballroom. I love dancing to rock and roll and did not find songs in this genre.
I also do not remember all the additional components last year such as the comedian and tarot reader. Maybe they were only there at the very beginning?

It is the same DJs as last year so it may be a bit different and probably a lot similar in song types. The conedian and tarot reader are new this year.
If this does not suit your needs, check out The Strand Dover – they are having a great band that is more Rock n Roll oriented. The Dancing Yetis are one of my groups and you can find their song list on my website under their performers page.

I just checked them out. Sounds great. What size dance floor do they have at the Strand? Is there room to dance without feeling like a sardine?

The dance floor is 23 by 52 but there are VIP tables on each side, so my guess is probably a 23 by 32 dance floor. Again, it is my guess. And depending on how many of the attendees are dancing, I cannot predict the crowd.

Look on the site. They have a floor plan that shows VIP seating and the dance floor. Not huge like the RB but the theater is not as large. Check it out. Robin
